I'm exhausted. I worked 46 hours this week all in 10 or 13 hour shifts with the exception of one 6 hour shift. Yesterday was my day off and i went to the beach and did homework. I really do lead an exciting life. Current Mood: tired |

I hate coworkers
I'm very pissed off right now at some of my coworkers/friends. I have closed the restaurant for the past three nights and will be doing so for the next two weeks. Tonight was supposed to be my one night to not close, instead i was to be second closer and out at 10:15. This did not happen because Adam, a fellow CP who also happens to be a server and a seater, called off. he has gotten scheduled for one seating shifts in two months, though he is supposed to do two a week and he calls off. this really screwed me over and i am very angry at him. he will get his retribution when he gets terminated. the managers were talking about how much trouble he is in. If he got terminated i would be sad, but right now i am very angry. Current Mood: pissed off |

CP Rap
I am a Disney CP. Yes I live in Orlando, and yes, it's shady and skeezy - but just thinking about it makes me smile. We don't call it Orlando, it's O-town or 32821, get it right. We go to the parks everyday, and make damn sure we get backdoored onto the rides. And yes, getting backdoored is the best thing ever. We go to Wal-Mart all the time for no reason, and bitch b/c Target has a closing time. We could be from Alaska or Maine, but we still are going to home saying "ya'll." We know what TTC, DAK, PI and all those fun things stand for. We've had to pop our trunks for security. We know what Vista Lay means. We compare our ID pictures. We love going to the Vista Pool, but we'd NEVER go in the hot tub. We've been to IHOP's at least 3 times a week, after 3 a.m. with at least 10 other people. Cars STILL has sand in it from Cocoa Beach. We rule PI on thursday nights. We have friends in almost every country. At least 100 of us can never work for disney again because we got fired for drinking in our apts or stealing stupid Disney stuff. We've almost been hit by a Dynamic bus at least 5 times. We still can't figure out what language the bus drivers are speaking in. We like to pretend that we understand (fluently) every language spoken to us. Quizno's, Chick-fil-a, Wendy's and McDonald's.. thats it. We know what alpha-unit means, and if our friends at home get hurt, we always ask them 3 times if they need assistance. We could go to Starbucks... while shopping at Target. We dated or made out with at least one person, whether we liked them or not. I have a ZILLION of those stupid mickey stickers. I've been to Mickey's Retreat on more than one occassion. We point with 2 fingers, not one and magical moments and take 5's make me smile (and yes, we know the difference). I am a CP, and im damn proud of it. I hope to God you have a magical day |

So the guy I've been dating, my valentine, Rob, got terminated yesterday for attendance. I know I didn't come here to meet boys, but this kid was something else. I haven't liked a guy like this since...well you all know since who. Oh well, it could have been worse A.) I could have never met him, B.) I could have dated him for 4 months, fallen head over heels in love with him and then had to say goodbye. |

Vday
Valentine's Day was surprisingly pleasant this year. My roommate Rebecca bought all the girls tulips and chocolate. And my roomie Molly made me a card and gave me even more candy. On top of that, Disney sent all of the college program kids a lollipop and note in the mail. I spent the day chilling with my valentine, Rob. We cooked hamburgers and just relaxed it was actually a lot of fun. So Happy Belated Day of Love to all of you, my loved ones! |

Week #3
Hello from the not so warm Florida. Life is fantastic right now anyways. I love everyone for sending packages to me, especially the Clark family as they have sent two! (I work with a guy named Ron who looks just like Steve Clark by the way.) Keep the letters and the love coming. It keeps me from getting homesick. Last night as a special treat to the College Program Students who work at the Magic Kingdom, I got free food AND I got to ride Space Mountain with the lights on. You might not think that would be scary, but it really really is. The ride is so tightly wound that it looks like your arms will get severed off if you put them in the air. Tonight I am going to the Polynesian resort with some of the girls from work for an all you can eat (spelled phonetically) loo-oww and show. For now, I will catch you on the flip side. Paying Rent
I realize that paying rent is a part of growing up but it sucks. I worked 45 hours last week and earned about $300. Then they took two weeks worth of rent out and now I have roughly $60. Pooh pooh on that. |

Week 2 Part 2 This past week has been filed with a lot of friend making and a lot of homesickness. Luckily the homesickness is merely a morning thing. That's right the first thing I think about when I wake up is how much I love and miss you guys. I have had some Michigan reminders.
This is my friend Antonio from Troy, MI.

Don't worry Daddy, he is definitely just a friend. And when my wonderful roomie Molly and I went to Animal Kingdom I saw former Pistons player Grant Hill in the parade. I tried to get a picture but it took me too long to figure out how I knew the guy was famous to snap the photo.

The two girls are my roomies, Rebbeca (l) and Molly (r) and the guy in the middle is our neighbor James. We were destressing and having an impromptu dance party after we all got home from training.

Right now I have to go buy spaghetti for the dinner party we are having at my place tonight. |

Week 2
I am having so much fun! However, I do miss being just a jaunt from Deb's house and other such things. Last night I rode Space Mountain for the first time. Holy cow was it awesome. I've decided that I love roller coasters. I've been making friends and influencing people right and left. Last night I went to the parks with my work buddies Danielle and Adam, and my roomie Molly, and Adam's roomies Brian and Adrian. It was a lot of fun. I'm really hoping that we get to hang out as a group a lot more. Clearly, they are no replacements for all my loved ones back home, but by golly are the fricking amazing people. Work has been...long. i'm wokring 45 hours this week. I finished training yesterday. It wasn't really any sort of big deal as I've hosted before. This job is going to be so much fun. I got paid to walk around main street and sprinkle kids with pixie dust. I'm an official part of so many people's memories due to camcorders, it's a pretty cool feeling. As cheesy as it sounds, I get paid to make magic. I get paid to make people feel special. I get paid to have fun. Current Mood: cheerful |

This waking up at 5 am stuff really is a stinker. I'm going to have pictures of me in my costume soon. There are tunnels under the Magic Kingdom. My clothes smell like my mom and it makes me a little lonely for childhood, but then I see the characters and am ok. Too tired to be coherent. Love you all! meg |

Day 3 at Disney World
Hi everyone! Disney World has been amazing so far. My apartment is super cute but a little empty. Getting there before everyone else was beneficial as I now have a room with its own bathroom. My roomies are frickin' sweet and they come from all over: Boston, Albany, Texas, Puerto Rico, Connecticut. And I made a fantastic new friend at orientation named Anna from New Orleans. She's letting me use her computer right now. I'm going to be working in the Magic Kingdom at Tony's Town Square as a hostess. I'm really excited about this because it is a restaurant themed after my favorite Disney movie as a child- "Lady and the Tramp." And no...I will not be playing the tramp thank you very much. I'll update more later but let me leave you with four little words- amazing looking foreign men. |
